Description
• Asset Operations is a middle office function, supporting multiple Portfolio Management and Trading teams who invest into Fixed Income, Treasury and Private Equity / Private Credit products. • The team has oversight responsibility for the outsourced Investment Operations teams, and the associated Fund Accountants and Custodians. • Internally, Asset Operations works closely with PIC’s Pension Operations teams to look after our current and future policy holders, and their associated cash demands. • Transition management of new business (cash and assets) is also managed through this team.
Requirements
• Experience of working with trading, trade matching, settlement, and custody systems. • Knowledge of Aladdin systems and process flows for reconciliation purposes. • Familiar with corporate actions / corporate event processing. • Knowledge of Net Asset Value (NAV) calculation to ensure accurate valuations of the assets under management. • Understanding of KYC, AML and onboarding processes. • Good working knowledge of MS Access, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, Bloomberg, and confirmation, settlement and payment systems. • Intermediate knowledge of VBA, Python or similar coding language. • Self-starter with strong organisational skills in order to meet deadlines. • Strong communication skills with ability to persuade and influence both directly and indirectly. • Experience of building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Portfolio Managers through to Custodians.
