• Provide overall leadership, management, and technical direction for the project, ensuring that deliverables are met on time, within budget, and with all compliance requirements adhered to, delivering the desired impact. • Serve as the primary liaison with USG on managerial, strategic, and technical matters, including making key decisions and solving programmatic problems in a timely manner. • Professionally represent Zinc Network to USG, governments, counterparts, local partners, and other program stakeholders. • Ensure alignment of work plans, MEL plans, and reporting efforts with award requirements, project objectives, and USG guidance. • Oversee all contractual and budgetary aspects of program management, including procurement processes, logistics to support project activities efficiently. • Monitor and adapt activities to achieve results; ensure activities are implemented effectively and in complementarity with USG and other donor activities. • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with project goals and USG requirements, ensuring adherence to Zinc's internal policies, USG regulations, and other relevant procedures. • Ensure high standards for performance and integrity across the program, complying with Zinc Network’s processes, policies, and procedures. • Successfully mobilise resources, establish key partners, and hire quality personnel and consultants for the project. • Foster and maintain relationships with stakeholders, subcontractors, and partners to facilitate smooth project implementation. • Collaborate with the M&E team to track project progress, analyse data, and make operational adjustments as needed. • Supervise and lead the assigned operations team, ensuring effective collaboration and coordination among team members.
• Over 10 years of experience in a similar role with experience managing projects from inception to close-out. • Experience in operations or project management on USG Assistance projects – either as the prime recipient or sub awardee. • Knowledge of USG financial regulations and reporting requirements, with experience in reviewing and approving project procurements, grants, and purchase order agreements. • Proven experience in budget management. • Demonstrated experience in coordinating and cooperating with a wide range of stakeholders, including representing organisations at a high level. • Experience in mobilizing and managing resources, including personnel and partnerships. • Fluency in English with strong communication skills. • Strategic mindset with an ability to identify and mitigate operational risks effectively.
