Description
• Key point of contact for financial reporting for monthly and quarterly reporting • Ownership of the relationship with bankers and superuser on the systems • Own the month-end process by calculating and posting monthly journals • Preparing accurate and supported balance sheet reconciliations • Assisting in preparing monthly management accounts and reports • Assisting in preparing financial reports for shareholders • Completion of quarter end VAT returns and submission to HMRC • Leading all audit related workstreams and supporting queries for audits
Requirements
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) • Experienced and knowledgeable of IFRS • US GAAP experience desirable, but not essential • Experience having worked in a top 10 accounting practise is desirable • Ability to keep up to date with standards, disclosure requirements and prepare accounting judgement papers • Highly numeric with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and able to identify control weaknesses and proactive in suggesting and implementing improvements
