• Mapping of the marketplace ecosystem in the UK & Ireland to identify opportunities, and reaching out to prospective partners • Manage complex consultative sales cycles including participation in RFPs and internal stakeholder management • Take full responsibility for guiding marketplaces from first contact through to being operational and live • Contribute to, and execute Mollie’s upmarket strategy • Build and deliver go-to-market strategies for the Marketplaces channel, working with local leadership to ensure alignment with the wider commercial strategy in each region (across Sales, Marketing etc.) • Represent Mollie at industry events across UK and Europe, in order to expand Mollie’s positioning as a leader in the Marketplace payments space
• 5+ years work experience in Business Development or Partnerships in either a Fintech, SaaS or Tech company • Significant experience in managing a sales pipeline that consists of both larger strategic business development deals and smaller / high velocity deals as well as a track record in managing deals and negotiations first-hand • Cross-functional experience working with various internal and external stakeholders in an international environment • A strategic and analytical mindset and strong problem solving and communication skills • Ability to connect easily with potential partners and build trust-based relationships • Fluency (written and verbal) in English • Preferred: previous experience in eCommerce or Marketplace models
