• The primary point of contact for BAU support cases for all customer sites, providing 1st and 2nd line support. • Responsible for BAU support cases relating to starters & leavers, which may extend to the provision of new laptops. • The engineer will be responsible for the general upkeep of documentation for customer. • The engineer will be responsible for the general upkeep of the IT estate (backups, windows updates etc) through scheduled cases or alerts. • The engineer will provide these services between 0900 and 1730, Mon to Fri. Outside of these times, the service will be provided by our IT Service Desk. • The engineer will be the first point of contact for inbound telephony calls, overflowing to our IT Service Desk if away from your desk. • All new cases will be triaged, as normal, to the IT Service Desk and then assigned to the onsite engineer where appropriate by the Service Desk allocator, or self-assigned by the onsite engineer. • The engineer will hand over cases to out of hours, where required.
• Citrix VDI Platform (Managed and supported by a third party) • Office 365 Hybrid email • Active Directory 2022 • All server infrastructure hosted in 4D on a Hyper V Cluster • Veeam backup and replication to a DR datacentre • Windows 10/11 Desktops and thin clients • Sonicwall firewalls at 3 sites including datacentre • Hyper V Cluster, SAN and Storage over 4 hosts • SQL Environments for accountancy packages such as Digita • Strong knowledge and experience in Layer 2 Networking (Vlans, WAN,s, WIFI) • Office 365 basic administration experience (New user creation, Mail flow troubleshooting, Retention and Archiving) • Good knowledge of Hyper V (Managing Virtual machines, Creating VM's , troubleshooting Virtual networking ) • Experienced in Server OS from 2016 • Experience in administrating Active Directory (Creating new users, Group Policy management, Domain health) • Strong knowledge in VDI platforms such as Citrix, RDS or AVD • Awareness and understanding on SAN, Servers and Storage • Strong experience of providing Desktop Support • Understanding of backup technologies or experience in Veeam backup and replication • Strong knowledge on Citrix • Knowledge of IT security and compliance for Accountancy and Law firms • Strong knowledge of Hyper V Clustering, SANs and Storage • Experience in Office 365 modern workplace
