Description
• Founded by mathematicians and cyber defense experts in 2013. • Darktrace is a global leader in cyber security AI. • Protects over 9,000 customers from complex threats. • Immediate opening for a Commercial Counsel in London or Cambridge. • Hybrid opportunity working 2/3 days a week in Cambridge or London. • Assisting in preparing and facilitating the completion of commercial contracts. • Negotiate and draft software license agreements, resale, and distribution agreements. • Working with teams across Finance, Human Resources, and Facilities. • Conducting legal research as needed. • Driving progress on legal team projects and improving processes.
Requirements
• Post-qualified legal experience, ideally within a contracts or commercial in-house environment. • Relevant legal experience, with demonstrated interest in commercial transactions, privacy, data security, and technology transactions, intellectual property, and similar fields. • Experience drafting documents, supporting and advising teams in commercial transactions. • Strong work ethic, highly motivated, and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth private company environment. • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple deadlines and be proactive. • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills, including both oral and written. • Produce excellent work product consistently while under pressure from stakeholders. • Comfortable interacting with all levels of the company’s personnel, including management, building relationships across teams and offices. • Experience working on teams across offices and time zones is essential.
