Description

• Join Contentful, a leading innovator in the technology sector, at a pivotal stage of our global expansion. • We are looking for a Global Legal Counsel with a focus on global support to join our dynamic legal team. • This role offers the ability to be a utilitarian team member with the opportunity to work on a wide variety of matters including Commercial and Privacy. • This role offers the opportunity to significantly impact our organization by leading complex SaaS and commercial transactions and ensuring compliance with global data protection regulations.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor Degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized law school. • 10+ years of combined experience in SaaS and commercial technology transactions, with substantial expertise in privacy and data protection laws, particularly those applicable in the UK, EU, and US. • Demonstrated experience in negotiating privacy and data protection terms and contracts, including DPAs and security terms with customers and vendors. • Experience advising on commercial and privacy legal risks and associated mitigations • Curiosity and eagerness to learn and work on other topics such as employment, product, and compliance. • Excellent negotiation, organizational, project management, and prioritization skills. • Collaborative, highly responsive, and service-oriented attitude. • Self-motivated and solution-oriented with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. • CIPP/E or CIPP/US certification is preferred.
