• Develop and execute strategies to drive measurable sales growth and new revenue generation from pharmaceutical and biotechnology sponsors • Develop, coordinate, and implement plans to increase existing business and capture new opportunities • Identify and manage potential new accounts, establishing and fostering mutually beneficial long-term partnerships • Engage with clients to provide seamless solutions • Lead and support cross-functional selling opportunities • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry • Monitor industry trends, changing regulations and other emerging opportunities • Provide strategic solutions to mitigate the impact of industry changes on business objectives • Collaborate with internal teams to tailor proposals and presentations to meet client needs • Provide regular and comprehensive reports to senior leadership on progress against set targets
• Bachelor's degree in the life sciences field or relevant experience • Proven track record of success in business development within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sector • Strong understanding of clinical trials and the drug development process • Contract and negotiation experience • Strong analytical capabilities that can assess and understand profitability of customer relationships, to optimally form partnerships • Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders • Experience leveraging CRM systems for business development activities
