Description
• Build new business pipeline • Develop target client list and build connections with prospects • Determine best methods/tools to obtain prospect list • Determine best method/tools to find the appropriate contact within the prospect’s organization • Understand existing arrangements and pain points • Foster relationship with prospects • Create strategy for regular and meaningful communication with prospects, establishing trust and credibility in our market • Track progress within CRM system • Coordinate with Sales Operations to manage client proposals • Work with Service Line leaders to prepare pricing and negotiate new client contracts • Increase market presence via attendance of relevant conferences, meetings and industry events • Communicate new products and leverage existing collateral with target clients • Stay up to date on our marketplace and competition • Educate prospects about Trio’s capabilities including advisory on sustainability, renewables, conventional power and gas procurement, and energy efficiency.
Requirements
• 5+ years sustainability and energy experience in fields such as sustainability consulting, renewables origination, energy trading, procurement or utility management • Strong commercial negotiation skills, ability to review contracts and identify key commercial terms • Demonstrated record of accomplishment and success selling to large Commercial & Industrial companies • Commitment to teamwork • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
