Description

• Based within our Indirect Tax Team working on VAT compliance for company administration, liquidation and receivership cases. • Managing insolvency VAT compliance calendar • Supporting IDT team with day-to-day VAT matters • Preparing and reviewing VAT returns and records • Liaising with HMRC on VAT submission • Drafting indirect tax comments for creditor progress reports • Preparation and delivery of ongoing VAT training to the IDT team • Continual development of the indirect tax process • Liaising with internal stakeholders to provide updates on case progression • Keeping up to date with legislation and practical changes impacting VAT compliance

Requirements

• Strong UK VAT technical knowledge including place of supply, time of supply, partial exemption and compliance processes across a range of industries. Experience of non-UK indirect tax compliance processes is advantageous. • Experience in managing compliance in-house, or managing a portfolio of clients/customers in practice/at HMRC • Strong communication, team playing and project management skills; and • The ability to perform strongly under pressure. • Ability to use Microsoft excel at an advanced level preferred.
