Description

• Lifecycle Support - Equipment & Connectivity Auditing, Install, Moves & Changes, Relocation, Decommissioning & Disposal, Patching, Troubleshooting • Managed Data Centre Services - Data Centre Migration, Capacity Management, Rollout & Deployment • Infrastructure - Structured Cabling, Rack Deployment & Aisle and Cabling Containment, Wireless Networking • We’re looking for engineers with varied skill sets and experience that can integrate into our highly capable team and enable top quality delivery of all our services. • We’re specifically looking for engineers that have an electrical and/or commercial data cabling background (copper and fibre installation) to help increase the diversity of skills required with our ever-growing client base. • If you have worked in data centres, offices, warehouses etc and are comfortable in those environments, you’ll likely have experienced working night shifts and antisocial hours too. Due to the nature of our industry weekend and unsociable hours will sometimes be required. • All our technical and work information is electronic based and so your computer and especially Microsoft Excel skills must be intermediate as a minimum with advanced preferred. We also use tablet and phone based job management systems for surveying and day to day planning

Requirements

• Cat 6A, OM4 installation, termination and testing • Cabling containment (underfloor/overhead) installation • General commercial based installation skills (conduit plastic/galvanised, wall penetrations, ceiling and sub-floor cable routing) • Experience of Hardware, Cable and Connection Auditing • Practical, hands-on, individual as this is a field-based skilled role that will involve being on your feet a lot of the time • Resourceful and able to manage your own time effectively • Good communicator both written and verbally and be able to pass on information without ambiguity to both clients and colleagues • Recent experience of copper and fibre structured cabling in data centre and commercial environment would be advantageous • Possess a Full clean UK driving licence
