Description

• Lead a team of experienced software engineers to build next-generation tools for engineers at Roku • Lead the creation of Roku Simulator and core analysis systems • Lead enabling Continuous Integration pipelines for Roku Firmware • Design, develop, and deploy scalable development systems for exponential growth • Drive architecture discussions, take ownership of new projects, deliver high-quality software on tight timelines • Partner with engineers and engineering leaders across the organization to capture growing architecture requirements • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and drive a self-service culture

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams • 10+ years of experience in delivering multi-tier, highly scalable, distributed software systems with strong architectural design skills • Demonstrated experience with embedded cross-platform Linux based product builds • 7+ years of experience organizing and refactoring complex C/C++ and/or Python projects • Experience with Linux, containerization, Kubernetes, hands-on SRE skills • Demonstrated ability to be proactive, self-driven, and make practical trade-offs based on business needs, entrepreneurial spirit • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Experience with Gitlab, TeamCity or similar tools, and modern CI/CD methodologies • B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
