Description
• Lead and manage a team of 10+ engineers to develop and maintain our active learning platform including an open source toolkit, fully featured annotation platform, and additional product lines • Collaborate with the cofounders, product managers, and senior engineers to define the product roadmap and ensure it aligns with the company's mission and goals • Work with the senior team to set technical strategy and direction for the company • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the engineering team • Facilitate speedy delivery of high quality features by the team with engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing, and documentation • Recruit, hire, and onboard excellent engineers to the team • Mentor and provide guidance to individual engineers to help them grow and develop their skills
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years of experience managing a team of engineers • Strong technical background in computer science or a related field • Experience building and scaling complex software systems • Proven ability to recruit, hire, and develop high-performing engineering teams • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Passion for building products that have a positive impact on the world • Experience with computer vision and machine learning a plus
