Description

• As the Engineering Manager of the Onboard Experience team, you will lead our initiatives to develop innovative and intuitive user experiences for both our internal team and future consumer automobiles. • Your leadership will be instrumental in creating seamless, efficient, and user-friendly interfaces that support the development, testing, and deployment of Wayve's autonomous driving AI. • This role demands a deep understanding of user interface design, full-stack development, and the unique requirements of in-vehicle software systems. • Success in this role will significantly impact Wayve’s ability to deliver cutting-edge autonomous driving experiences to both our internal teams and future customers.

Requirements

• Proven Leadership: At least 5 years in a leadership role within software development, including 3 years directly managing a software development team through all stages of the software lifecycle. • Expertise in User Interface Development: Strong knowledge of front-end and back-end development, and experience with user interface design. • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Linux-based development, full-stack software development, and the Android Auto ecosystem. Proficiency in programming languages such as Rust, C++, and Typescript, and relevant software development tools and environments such as React. • Strategic Acumen: Excellent ability to conceive and execute user interface projects that align with both immediate and long-term business objectives of the Onboard Software organisation. • Collaborative Abilities: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, capable of fostering collaboration across diverse technical teams and company divisions. • Educational Background: A 4-year degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. • Automotive Software Experience: Background in developing automotive software, with knowledge of ASPICE, DriveOS, or AutoSAR. • Educational Background: A Master’s degree or greater in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is desired. • Experience with Embedded Systems: Experience creating and deploying software for embedded systems, especially automotive embedded systems.
