Description
• Oversee network infrastructure and systems functionality, and look for ways to continuously improve the organisation. • Manage the administration and day-to-day utilisation of all of our systems, including Slack, GitHub and more. • Manage our Apple (+Android, +Linux, +Windows) fleet. • Work closely with People Ops to ensure smooth on/offboarding of employees. • Manage installations, upgrades and configurations of hardware and software. • Constantly assess system performance and suggest improvements. • Resolve issues raised by Valarians, quickly and efficiently. • Work with finance to control costs and budgets of our internal IT infrastructure. • Develop IT policies and best practices.
Requirements
• Prior experience as a Tech Ops / IT Ops manager, ideally with at least 2+ years in a like for like position. • Experience working for a smaller / start-up organisation. • Knowledge of networks and cloud computing. • Experience with password and device management (primarily using Apple Devices). • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once in a fast paced environment. • Proven ability to provide answers and solutions quickly. • Ability to communicate with staff members at all levels. • Strong problem solving skills, a curious nature and a ‘can do’ attitude. • A highly motivated individual driven by first principles and outcomes. • Resilient and positive nature. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Good listening skills, with high levels of attention to detail.
