Description
• Provide technical accounting advice and prepare accounting papers for complex transactions and new accounting standards. • Ownership of the Group’s accounting and accounting policies, specifically under IFRS 9 – Financial Instruments and IFRS 2 – Share-based payment. • Be the key audit contact and manage the group’s external audit process. • Preparation of the group’s consolidated and standalone statutory accounts. • Supporting the group’s month end close process. • Manage our global sales tax, VAT, and other tax filing schedules and compliance. • Work with our external providers to ensure the timely review and submission of our corporate tax filings. • Responsible for calculating R&D tax reliefs and submission to HMRC. • Assist in the implementation of the Group’s first transfer pricing policy. • Involvement in the tax implications of capital financing transactions.
Requirements
• ACA qualified, with at least 5 years PQE. • Strong technical accounting background and understanding of complex accounting transactions. • Previous financial services or fintech industry experience (desirable not essential). • Strong IFRS knowledge essential. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Working knowledge of tax – corporate tax, VAT, R&D tax relief, transfer pricing.
