Description

• We provide products and services that are already improving the operational delivery of rail services • Our vision is to create a truly connected rail network, using our deep technology expertise and rail industry experience • We continue to evolve our offer and recently integrated our technology with our own Traffic Management System • As a key member of the team, you will be capable of understanding complex technical implementations and low-level concepts • You will be capable of quickly building relationships and communicating effectively with our customers, and our own technical staff • You will contribute to the quality and delivery of world-class software products and applications in an agile development environment • Develop and test solutions to business problems in line with the user requirements • Actively participate in sprint pre-planning and solution design • Implement software using the latest versions of Java and JavaScript frameworks • Work with the team to estimate user stories, and subsequently deliver as part of the iterative development lifecycle

Requirements

• You have excellent communication skills • You will be a team player, not afraid to step out of your role where it is best for the team • You are an excellent problem-solver, show initiative, and enjoy overcoming challenges • You have a highly analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail • You are highly motivated and organised, able to manage your workload and commitments • You are confident and approachable, able to build relationships and collaborate with others • You are resilient and willing to work outside of your comfort zone, and thrive in a supportive and dynamic environment • You have strong knowledge of JavaScript or Typescript • You have strong knowledge with a Front-End Framework, ideally Angular • You have strong knowledge of unit testing / mocking frameworks such as Jasmine and Mockito • Experience of messaging technologies and principles (e.g., IBM MQ or RabbitMQ) is desirable • Experience of implementing containerisation (Docker) and microservices is desirable • Experience of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS or Azure) is desirable • Experience using Relational / No SQL Database is desirable • Experience of Reactive programming would be advantageous
