• Conduct specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and implement therapy interventions for clients with complex physical disabilities as an autonomous practitioner. • Perform high-level clinical decision-making within agreed response times to support A&E four-hour targets. • Analyse and clinically reason the risk assessment required for the physical moving and handling of complex, dependent patients to support their rehabilitation and address socio-environmental risks associated with rapid discharge home.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy. • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist. • Proven experience working as an Occupational Therapist within mental health settings. • Sound knowledge of mental health conditions, treatment modalities, and therapeutic approaches. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, families, and colleagues. • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. • Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice. • Previous experience working as a band 7 Specialist Occupational Therapist.
