Description

• The role requires collaboration with Risk / Legal / Origination / Investments / Finance for system improvements • Applying knowledge of Public Credit management impacting policyholders • Delivering strong business outcomes related to capital and profitability • Reflecting company values in performance delivery • Keeping informed of industry trends and best practices by attending seminars and reading articles • Conducting thorough analysis of PIC holdings and sector opportunities • Ensuring up to date credit opinions on borrowers • Preparing efficient credit research opinions for stakeholders • Understanding ESG aspects of investments and keeping ESG scores updated • Collaborating with various colleagues to execute investment decisions • Supporting private investments with credit research opinions • Taking ownership of personal learning and development in technical and non-technical skills

Requirements

• High level understanding of rating agency methodologies • Strong technical experience in fundamental issuer research • Expert knowledge of allocated sectors and across different sub-sectors • Established knowledge of financial reporting and key rating metrics • Strong analytical skills • Strong interpersonal skills • Sound organisational skills • Strong communication skills • Ability to persuade and influence both directly and indirectly • Ability to conceptualise and lead others in solving specific problems • Ability to organize work to meet deadlines • Good working knowledge of MS Access, MS PowerPoint, MS Word • Strong Bloomberg skills • Proven experience in providing credit research opinions to fund managers, preferably within an asset management context • Candidates that have historically covered a broad number of sectors preferred • Strong experience of covering US based corporates and market knowledge of how the US environment may impact decision-making • Experience of delivering analysis that is succinct, accurate, well presented, and timely • CFA preferred
