• Lead and manage the global controlling team, providing guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities. • Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting • Ensure sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements, accurate cash reporting as well as maintaining all domestic and global banking relationships • Develop and implement financial strategies that support the company's growth and scalability. • Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS, as well as local statutory requirements in all jurisdictions where the company operates (UK, US, Denmark) or expands. • Prepare consolidated financial statements and ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. • Identify and mitigate financial risks across all regions, including currency, tax, and regulatory risks. • Support the CFO and executive team in evaluating and executing strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, and capital raising, from an accounting perspective. • Build and lead a high-performing controlling team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent accounting qualification with a top-tier Audit/Consulting background • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role. • Extensive experience with UK GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS, as well as knowledge of local statutory requirements in the UK and US. • Proven track record of leading finance teams in high-growth, international companies, preferably within the tech or EdTech sectors. • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. • Strong understanding of global tax and regulatory environments, including experience with international tax planning and transfer pricing. • Demonstrated ability to manage complex financial operations across multiple regions and currencies. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail. • Experience with financial software and ERP systems, with a preference for those familiar with NetSuite or similar platforms. • Experience in mergers and acquisitions, including financial due diligence, acquisition accounting and integration. • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
