Description
• MerQube is an innovative fintech firm focused on indexing and rules-based investing. • Responsible for daily maintenance of index operations and data quality support. • Assist in managing financial data processes and supporting index applications. • Ensure compliance and perform quality checks prior to index launches.
Requirements
• Basic understanding of financial market data and news, with a willingness to learn and develop expertise. • Exposure to financial data sets and applications like FactSet, Reuters, Morningstar, and Bloomberg through coursework, internships, or entry-level positions. • Familiarity with researching corporate action details and their impact on indices, with a desire to deepen this knowledge. • Interest in learning about financial benchmarks, ETFs, index methodologies, and rebalances, with the ability to grasp concepts ranging from basic to more complex. • Some experience in process improvement initiatives and the ability to contribute to writing requirements for engineering, under supervision. • Exposure to customer support roles, including internal customer support, and a willingness to further develop these skills. • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, with an understanding of basic teamwork dynamics. • Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field, or currently pursuing such a degree. • Basic knowledge of SQL and Python, with the ability to learn and apply these skills in a professional setting. • Awareness of Benchmark Regulations and IOSCO principles, with a willingness to gain further understanding in these areas.
