• We are looking for a Principal Graphics Programmer to join our Firesprite studio, working on a dark, story-driven 'Narrative Adventure' with genre defining goals. This huge, highly ambitious project takes atmosphere, storytelling, player agency and narrative firmly into ground-breaking territory on next-generation hardware technologies. • This project has AAA ambitions with a heavy focus on art, animation and delivering unique character performances to heighten player presence and immersion to new levels. • The role is based in the studio for 2-3 days per week with flexibility. • Work closely with artists to research and develop new innovative graphics features. • Writing scalable and reusable code with performance in mind. • Maintain, extend, and optimise existing engine or game-side features. • Ensuring overall build performance and stability throughout all stages of development. • Taking ownership of features & documenting the work accordingly. • Mentoring more junior members of the team.
• Several years’ experience developing AAA console/PC titles, through all stages of the development cycle and sharing that knowledge with the team. • DirectX12, AGC or other explicit rendering API knowledge. • Excellent HLSL or similar shading language skills, understanding of RDNA ISA. • Expert in modern C++ and strong overall software engineering and debugging skills. • Multithreaded development and debugging experience. • Keeping updated with recent advancements in rendering technologies. • Excellent 3D maths and problem solving skills. • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. • Ability to modify and extend existing complex systems. • Experience with profiling and identifying CPU & GPU bottlenecks using industry standard tools. • Significant and up to date knowledge of the GPU pipeline.
