• This is a superb opportunity for a well-rounded professional to join our Fintech company and lead operations, risk and compliance functions. You’ll be reporting to the CFOO and helping to grow the team and their efficiencies. • Risk Governance and Strategy: Working closely with the risk committee to take part in building the roadmap on how the lending platform will evolve, managing the user experience, ensuring healthy commercials, offering counsel on 'fine-tuning' processes. Active role in lending platform development and modification, fundamental understanding of fraud and default potential. • Compliance: Devise and monitor execution of compliance strategies, maintain internal company procedures, establish protocols for minimizing damage, ensure legality and conformity to regulations, handle compliance issues, identify and deliver improvements, oversee internal audits, and manage day-to-day operations of departments. • Operations: Liaise with ExCo and SLT for decisions, evaluate efficiency of business procedures, manage relationships with partners/vendors, evaluate overall business performance, develop/implement operations plans, provide necessary reports, implement initiatives for cost reduction and employee productivity, support creation of systems leveraging data/technology/tools. • Stakeholder and People Management: Manage team members, collaborate on tech improvements, drive automation initiatives, promote risk mitigating culture, work closely with internal and external stakeholders, chair meetings with external partners, review/submit new business applications to external partners, propose funding platform overrides.
• Proven ability to lead a risk function, with strong adherence to process and an eye for automation and driving efficiencies in client onboarding and deal decision making • An understanding of invoice finance, ABL and other financial services • Very strong analytical background with the ability to interpret data and recommend solutions to maximise the efficiency of decision engines. • An excellent attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure. • Independent, well organized and with a “can do” attitude. • A pitch-in kind of person and not afraid to get your hands dirty. • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities. • Outstanding communication and people skills. • In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles. • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics. • Familiarity with MS Office and various business software (e.g., ERP, CRM). • Ability to use dashboards to drive performance measures, maximise company growth and asset development. • Problem-solving for improving processes, increasing efficiency and profits. • Expertise in managing vendor and partner relationships, contracts, agreements, and the procurement process. • Knowledge of industry’s legal rules, guidelines and diverse business principles and functions. • Excellent presentation and project-management abilities.
