• Responsible for securing the cloud platforms which run the products and services that customers use. • Contributing to the development of the security roadmap and practice. • Responsible for ensuring that secure cloud practices and architectures are in place and are effective. • Ensuring all cloud assets are configured and administered securely throughout their entire lifecycle. • Continuous improvement of security monitoring, event detection, and response. • Threat hunting and analysis. • Identifying and remediating vulnerabilities within agreed SLA's. • Supporting the implementation and auditing of security compliance. • Manage and continually improve SIEM & MSSP. • Identify emerging threats/risks. • Administration of cloud & data security tools such as cloud compliance, data security posture management, external asset scanning and vulnerability scanning. • Deployment of new self-hosted or SaaS security tooling. • Management of cloud user & service account permissions. • Risk assessment and uplift of CI/CD tooling security posture. • Participation in incident response. • Review of network firewall configurations. • Support of disaster recovery configuration and testing across cloud resources. • Review & advice on email security across the business’s domains.
• Tertiary qualification in IT or Business combined. • Proven industry experience working in Cloud Security or past personal projects or learning experiences that demonstrate capabilities in administering secure Cloud environments. • Infrastructure or systems engineering (3+ years). • Auditing and securing of cloud platforms. • Security event and incident management/monitoring. • Python/Bash scripting. • Vulnerability scanning. • Container orchestration/Kubernetes exposure is preferred. • Experience in CI/CD pipeline administration, support, and security is preferred. • Experience with some or all of Linux/Unix, networking, administration and infrastructure. • Experience designing, reviewing and implementing secure cloud architectures. • Strong and current knowledge of cloud security trends and emerging threats. • Experience and understanding of firewalls, load-balancers, general networking concepts, components and processes. • Experience with cloud security tools and systems (Including EDR). • Experience with Identity and Access Management across cloud platforms (GCP preferred). • Understanding of security frameworks such as SOC2. • Experience designing disaster recovery requirements for cloud resources such as compute and databases. • Knowledge of secure email configurations. • Understanding of Data Security concepts.
