Description
• Proton is building an Internet that respects the privacy and puts people (not advertisers) first. • The products you build will impact the lives of millions of users, so a strong emphasis on quality is required. • Our team combines deep mathematical and technical knowledge from the world's top research institutions with expertise in building easy-to-use user interfaces. • Together, we are building the encrypted communication technologies of the future. • The goal of the Payments team is to integrate online payments using dedicated providers and client libraries to facilitate the operations of our business. • The technical implementation of payments is shared across all Proton products and its smooth operation is a key criterion in our success. • In this role, you will have ownership across various domains and developing payments tooling across the entire company. • We are working across the checkout page, subscriptions and invoicing. • An upcoming project for us is B2B sales support, which enables our business clients to scale with their payments processes.
Requirements
• Deep experience with backend development (PHP, or Python) • Experience with frontend design and development (JavaScript, React and Typescript) • Experience building complex production systems • Experience with data processing and storage (MySQL, Redis, Kafka, Elastic, Ceph, ClickHouse) • Able to work autonomously and lead the whole development process, from design to QA • Excellent English communications, both written and spoken
