• Responsible for handling financial matters of various projects • Collaborate with project managers to gather and validate budget inputs • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting • Monitor project expenditures against budgets, identifying variances • Prepare detailed financial reports for stakeholders • Conduct financial analysis for decision-making • Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards • Assist in the development of annual project budgets • Update forecasts as project projections change • Facilitate effective communication between finance and project teams • Provide financial guidance to enhance financial literacy • Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency • Develop and maintain financial procedures for accurate reporting • Assess and manage financial risks associated with projects • Conduct financial audits of projects for accuracy and compliance • Provide financial support services for general company activities
• A professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable • And/or a degree in a relevant subject combined with broad relevant experience in project finance • Demonstrable experience in providing comprehensive accountancy and finance support services • Experience and knowledge of costing and resource allocation models would be advantageous • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft 365, Excel and other business and finance information systems • Strong analytic skills and proficiency in financial modelling and analysis • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies is a plus • Exceptional organisational skills and a proven ability to work under pressure while ensuring accuracy, quality, and attention to detail • Ability to cost projects and make recommendations on financial viability • Ability to influence and work confidently at senior management level • Ability to interpret financial information and produce high-quality reports • An ability to organise and present information logically and accurately • A solution-focused approach with the ability to work flexibly to meet changing organisational needs • A self-managing work style and, in particular, the ability to work independently as the financial specialist for project teams • Ability to identify and implement changes to processes and practices and improve quality and efficiency
