Description
Backend Software Engineers at Palantir build software at scale to transform how organisations use data. They are involved throughout the product lifecycle, collaborating closely with teammates to understand customers' problems and build products that solve them. Engineers work autonomously and make decisions independently within a supportive community. The Product Development organisation comprises small teams that focus on specific aspects of a product. The role involves contributing high-quality code to underpin Palantir Foundry and Gotham with performant, secure, and scalable building blocks. Engineers will work on foundational capabilities that power products used by various professionals worldwide.
Requirements
• Engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics or similar field • Strong coding skills with proficiency in programming languages like Java, C++, Python, Rust, or similar • Familiarity with storage and data processing systems, cloud infrastructure, and technical tools • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to collaborate and empathize with a variety of individuals • Ability to learn new technology and concepts • Bias towards quality and thoughtful about edge cases • Builds solutions and APIs with users in mind while maintaining a high engineering bar
