• As a Senior Industrial Design Engineer at Nothing, you’ll be central to shaping the look and feel of our products and will work from our small studio in King’s Cross, London. You’ll be embedded within the Industrial Design Team, and will use your expertise in engineering, materials and manufacturing, as well as your sensitivity for design, to realise our product concepts, and defend our vision throughout the product development process. • We expect the following of all of our designers: - Interesting and original concept generation - Creative and collaborative problem solving - Excellent visual and verbal communication - Meticulous attention to detail - Intuitive appreciation for user-centred design - Confidence designing for a brand with bold aesthetic direction and a clear vision - Amazing collaboration skills and receptiveness to feedback - Honesty, transparency and empathy - we do what we say we’re going to do and we look after each other - Great taste • And as an Industrial Design Engineer we’ll also expect: - Proven experience in high-volume consumer electronics design engineering at system and component-levels - Demonstrated ability to work in a highly design-driven environment - Excellent CAD proficiency (NX preferred) - Experience in prototyping (3D printing, CNC, vacuum forming, laser cutting, etc) - Strong problem solving skills and mechanical intuition - Demonstrated consumer electronics engineering skills: mechanics, material science, mechanism design, design for assembly, tolerance analysis, reliability, FMEA - Extensive experience in designing parts suitable for a wide range of production techniques, including plastic & metal injection moulding, forming, stamping, extrusion, and machining processes - Availability to travel internationally Most of all, we’re looking for creative people who can demonstrate diverse thinking, growth mindset and their dedication to design
