•Engineering Managers at Monzo are part of cross-functional, autonomous teams organized into groups, focused on mission-driven outcomes. •Accountable for technical and delivery outcomes, supporting best-in-class engineering talent in an inclusive environment. •Continuously hiring Engineering Managers across various platforms, assessing strengths during interviews and matching roles accordingly. •Responsibilities include accountability for delivery, fostering engineering excellence, leading teams, and collaborating with stakeholders.
Requirements
•This role does not require hands-on coding but seeks an experienced manager with a strong technical background who has worked as a software engineer in previous roles. •Comfortable operating with ambiguous problem areas with a high degree of autonomy. •Experience working in an experimentation led environment preferred. •Delivery experience and able to guide squads in achieving their outcomes. •Focuses on outcomes over processes. •Able to input, understand and challenge engineering decisions while empowering the team. •Understanding of what good looks like for a high-performing engineering team. •Able to coach people to achieve their goals. •Natural ability to inspire and motivate a team.

•Base salary range for this role is between £100k - £140k depending on experience + equity + stock options •We can help you relocate to the UK •We can sponsor visas •We offer flexible working with no company mandate on how often you need to come into the office.
