• Develop a deep understanding of Marshmallow’s quote, policy and claims data and use this to derive insights that can be used to enhance our pricing. • Owning one of the strategic initiatives of the pricing team, such as supporting our expansion plans or protecting our renewing customers. • Communicating & getting buy-in for your plans to heads of & directors cross-functionally. • Conducting claims analysis and claims modelling using SQL and Python. • Conducting price optimisation analysis/modelling using Python. • Building and deploying models in APIs for use in real-time pricing. • Working with other members of pricing to recommend changes and monitor their impact. • Identify new sources of external data that enable us to refine our view of claims risk, and conduct analysis to quantify their value. • Working directly with our Engineering & ML ENG functions to implement pricing proposals. • Providing analytical support in relationships with reinsurers, regulators and other partners. • Working within the wider data science community on longer-term R&D projects. • Providing pricing support for the launch of multiple new products. • Potential to manage a small team of pricing analysts & pricing data scientists, overseeing both the technical aspects of their work as well as their career development.
