• Lead and mentor a team of IoT engineers, providing technical guidance and coaching. • Collaborate with product managers, the lab members, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and priorities. • Architect, design, and implement scalable and maintainable IoT architectures and embedded systems - Including hardware, network and software. • Utilize technologies to gather all the data we need to develop our cutting-edge analytics at Kpler - We are using a wide range of technologies from custom PCB to custom VM to be deployed for our clients/on our hardware. • Drive best practices for code quality, testing, and performance optimisation throughout the development lifecycle. • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the engineering team. • Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies, and advocate for their adoption where appropriate. • Serve as a technical leader and advocate for IoT engineering best practices across the organisation.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). • 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a focus on embedded system design and development. • Strong programming skills in languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript or Python with a deep understanding of IoT frameworks and libraries. • Experience with protocols commonly used in IoT (e.g MQTT, CoAP, HTTP) and wireless communication technologies (e.g. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LoRA, etc) • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex technical challenges with creativity and pragmatism. • Experience working in an agile development environment, with a focus on iterative delivery and continuous improvement. • Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, sufficient for success in a remote and largely asynchronous work environment.
