Description
• Let companies purchasing carbon removal credits understand & inspect down to a source how, when and if that carbon was truly removed, converted and stored permanently by building a flexible software & hardware platform • Define novel measurement, reporting & verification mechanisms that let the carbon removal industry scale • Build an early engineering team culture that values scientific rigor, pragmatism, learning, and teamwork through mentoring your teammates • Correctly process structured and unstructured data in batch or real-time fashion, applying mathematical and machine learning models to it, all the way to making it available via APIs to our data visualization layer • Design scalable systems that let us move fast today but are flexible enough to evolve over time – as we learn more about what the world needs from us • Mentor your peers and support your team in achieving the team goals • Eagerness to learn new things and ask all the questions. We are science-driven and expect everyone to get stuck into the climate world • Drive to urgently solve big challenges that have no obvious answers today. We’re doing novel things that no one person knows the answer to today • Bringing good energy and humility into how you show up. It’s a tough problem but we can’t give up
Requirements
• Diverse engineering background ranging from startups to high-scale companies • Proficient with Python, Strawberry, GraphQL, Next.js, React, Typescript, Tailwind CSS, Postgres, Docker, Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, Sentry, Datadog, Github, Graphite • Familiarity with Slack, Figma, Notion, Airtable, Zoom, and Google Workspace • High quality code reviews and automation skills • Open to learning new tools and technologies
