Description
• Responsible for expanding and optimising our data and data pipeline architecture. • Optimising data flow and collection for cross functional teams. • Supporting software developers, database architects, and Trading teams with data initiatives. • Designing, building, and optimising the data architecture.
Requirements
• Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases. • Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Docker, Kubernetes. • Experience working with distributed systems such as Spark. • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment. • Degree/MSc in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent. • Experience in the energy industry from the supply or trading side preferential. • Natural curiosity for data analytics – ability to work with unstructured datasets. • Strong project management and organisation skills. • Ability to support the data needs of multiple teams. • Consultative and collaborative approach to problem solving. • Problem solver and creative thinker. • Ability to solve problems independently using an analytical approach.
