• Develop and optimise protocols for the differentiation of iPSCs into metabolic cell types, including hepatocytes, adipocytes, and pancreatic beta cells. • Design and conduct experiments to investigate cellular functions, metabolic pathways, and disease mechanisms in differentiated cells. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate findings and drive project milestones. • Prepare and present research findings to internal teams, external collaborators, and at scientific conferences. • Contribute to the preparation of grant applications, scientific publications, and patent filings. • Stay current with advancements in stem cell biology, metabolic research, and AI applications in biotechnology.
• Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field with a focus on iPSC technology and metabolic diseases. • Extensive experience or equivalent expertise in the culture, differentiation, and characterisation of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), both phenotypically and functionally. • Proven expertise in differentiating iPSCs into various metabolic cell types, including hepatocytes, adipocytes, and pancreatic beta cells, with a strong background in functionally testing these differentiated cell types. • Strong understanding of metabolic disorders, including but not limited to diabetes, obesity, and fatty liver disease. • Proficiency in standard laboratory techniques, such as cell culture, gene editing (CRISPR/Cas9), flow cytometry, and imaging. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment. • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
