Description

• Lead a diverse DevOps team to ensure software stability and quality. • Collaborate with engineers to define and execute delivery visions. • Drive technical evolution by evaluating and adopting emerging technologies. • Promote Engineering and DevOps practices standards. • Nurture talent and manage resources effectively. • Identify and mitigate risks in product development. • Design strategies for building a reusable DevOps toolchain. • Consult with stakeholders to influence decision-making processes.

Requirements

• Proficiency in converting technical requirements into solutions. • Experience with Linux Operating Systems, specifically RHEL. • Strong scripting skills, particularly in Terraform. • Expertise in Configuration Management tools like Ansible. • Familiarity with Version control systems, especially Git. • Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment using GitLab CI. • Ability to modify, maintain, and evolve legacy systems and code. • Proficiency in standardising systems and code. • Experience with cloud applications, specifically AWS. • Skilful use and operation of tools including Bash, Python, Terraform, Ansible, NGINX, GitLab, Jira, and Confluence. • Experience in deploying, supporting, and patching systems. • Familiarity with APIs and Microservices. • Understanding of user testing methodologies. • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain standards, tools, and techniques within a team. • Strong understanding and application of modern standards and practices. • Experience in coaching and guiding others. • Proficiency in setting release policies and managing resources for effective systems integration. • Proven track record in anticipating and leveraging new digital technologies to enhance capability. • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective services. • Proactive management of risks and identification of solutions. • Commitment to compliance with legal, regulatory, and security requirements. • Ability to build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships and foster an inclusive working environment. • Effective decision-making skills, considering stakeholder needs and expectations. • Commitment to continuous self-learning and development, fostering a culture of learning within the team.
